I've been doing a bit of Googling on the subject and have obtained conflicting advice. Is a 50HZ TV ok ( compared to 60HZ) or will it not play some PS3 games as some people suggested. My sons have a 60HZ 720p HD ready 19" TV in their bedroom and want a 1080P. The one they've seen is a 22" 1080P but is only 50HZ. Will this be ok , and will they notice any difference in quality while PS3 gaming? Should they get a 60HZ one?
Ok, i got the LG M2262D from Currys. Fantastic picture when playing PS3 or blue rays. The TV picture however is just ok. As it's freeview via an aerial i wonder if that's why as it doesn't take advantage of the full HD. I have a 720p TV which is an excellent picture via Freeview and two 1080p TV's ( now) which aren't quite so good. Maybe it's the HD tv's stretching or interpolating the non HD picture to 1080p?
Where we live freeview isn't available but we use a standard virgin media tv box via scart and the picture is perfect. Not as good as pic from ps3 or upscaled dvd player but still really good. Posted from my phone so apologies for any errors.
