I have a six month old Samsung 101cm High Definition LCD TV (Model No. LA40A550P1F). Normal sound (from TV channels) and sound from VCR is fine, but with DVDs I have to have the volume set at 100%. Even then it is not quite loud enough. This applied to my old DVD player and now applies to my new Blu-Ray player. Can anyone advise?

Check the Scart/HDMI cables that connect the DVD player etc to the TV. Try disconnecting and reconnecting cables.

Thanks Brynit, I will chech as you suggest however I don't think this will be the problem. Prior to the Blu-Ray player (which connects via HDMI cable) I had a standard DVD player which was connected to the TV by an audion/video cable and had the same problem.

Thanks beta,

I changed the audio stream to multiple channel (on the Bl-Ray)and the sound has improved. Possibly coincidentally I found that the TV had been de-programmed and I had to set all the channels again!
