Video Camera

As my current camera is tape based (and ten years` old) and I no longer have any tape playback facilities I'm starting to look at a replacement.

Any suggestions?

As I only use the camera once or twice a year I'm looking at memory card format, and for the same reason I'm not looking at top-of-the-range.

I tend to buy from Jessops via their website and this is on my wishlist.

I suggest you keep away from DVD Mini disc types as they are a bit funny about which discs they like and sometimes fail to detect a disc is in the device. This means you can lose recorded material. It has to be something to do with it failing to complete the writing of new material.
Check with the shop or maybe other can provide info about this.
