I live in a house that is 40 years old ,I've been there since 1994 and in the loft the Ariel is using a splitter to run two TV`s ,one in bed room and one downstairs .
Both have new TV`s with built in digital TV etc.... and now we have got also digital TV recorders attached.
My question is sometimes (different hours of the day )watching TV we get lines or programme freezes for a short time .
Do we need a booster in the loft or new Ariel as I think its been on the house since it was built .
The splitter is a cheap £2 you can buy from anywhere .
Any advice would be welcome and links where and what to buy to .

Remove the splitter, which reduces the signal strength a bit, and see if the picture is better. If not is the aerial a wideband, or a UHF. You may need to buy a wideband aerial (for freeview)say £40, or you could try an aerial amplifier on the UHF one. If in doubt go for a wideband aerial. David

I will try that in the next few days to see if it works .
