TomTom Battery Life

No panic yet, but I have just got a TomTom One for a present and am looking forward to using it in the near future. However I can't see any means of getting at the battery and am wondering what happens when and if, it gives up the ghost? Also is it still necessary in this day and age to let the battery completely discharge before recharging it? I have got a funny feeling that when this particular battery goes the gadget goes with it. Can anybody confirm this? ..Bingalau..

Your TomTom One has a LiIon battery, so does not have the memory effect. Hence, no need to fully discharge it before recharging.

Of course, all such batteries have a finite life, but my model 700 is now 21 months old and the battery is still "going strong".

I regularly read posts in the YourNav forum, (which focuses on TomTom), and don`t see people having problems with their batteries.

Enjoy your motoring, with the confidence you won`t get lost.
