Suitable PVR

Hi all. I'm looking for a PVR that I can use just as a recorder. I not interested in using DTV as I have Sky and Freesat. Do they all have separate scart in and out connections? I am presuming the cheaper units use RF loop, and scart out. P.

Humax produce some of the best PVRs around. You can buy them from Argos and various TV outlets or direct from Humax (including Grade A models). See:

I don't think you will be able to buy a PVR without a built-in tuner these days.

Humax PVR`s are very good. I am not sure about their latest models, but previous ones did not have AV-In.

This would present difficulty in recording Sky or Freestat. I would suggest you ensure that you check that whatever you choose does have an AV-In socket.

My Panasonic does, and I regularly record from my Sky digibox.
