Satellite speakers question

This is probably a really dumb question, but I just want to be sure: Does 'satellite speakers' mean they are wireless? Thanks

Possibly dumb in the way you put the question. A bit more of the background info would help.
For example ,satellite- means to most a gizmo in the sky that beams down signal for TV etc.
No they don't have speakers, as far as I am aware.

Satellite speakers in another context possibly means those tiny things that come with a multi channel system and are coupled with the main unit[Woofer]
to deafen the listener from all directions.

And usually no they are not wireless in the general way of things -loads of cable to trip over or run under the carpet.
But I guess these days there it is possible to find a set up with wireless speakers - after all you can get wireless headphones-but I cant imagine the price such a kit could be.
