S-video - (Scart help please)

Hello,

I have just bought an S-video - Scart lead to connect my laptop to my tv

Sorry about two messages i didnt mean to click submit. i connected my laptop to my tv using the cable but nothing seems to happen. i have the tv channel on svhs can anyone help?

You may need to tell the laptop to output the signal to the lead instead of / or as well as, the laptop screen.

This is usually a simple keypress or keypress combination of the laptop keys.

Cheers john, ive done that and chosen T.V, but still no luck. i dont know if i have to do anything else to make the svdideo output start outputting. if you have any ideas they will be very much appreciated

Some Scart leads are one way only rather than two way or might have a switch for input/output.

I just seem to have EXT 1, EXT 2, SVHS2 and EXT3. I get a strange buzzing noise on EXT 1 but nothing on any of the others.
