Can anyone tell me what this is. I have one on my TV and also on my sky box. I havent used it yet and just wondered if it was worth doing so.

Many digital TV boxes have them - it's a way of connecting them to a cumputer for transferring data in and out, such as programmme settings. But AFAIK the digibox is not used, unless they use it in the factory.

The TV probably doesn't have one - look carefully and you might see three rows of connections, rather than two. This is usually a VGA connector - as per computer moniotrs, not RS232

Most plasma's and lcd's have these, as i mentioned in your other post.

Factories use them primarily for setting up and adjusting the menu software. Engineers can also access them for troubleshooting.
