When I moved house 4 years ago I went over to Sky TV,I was previously on cable.
2 years ago I upgraded to Sky+,I now have the first digibox lying around,
my Question is, what can I do with it? apart from the obvious

You probably have a spare connection on your LNB. Why don't you get another feed from it and put it into your spare box so that you have an independant Tv with free view (or whatever the satellite freebie channels are called)?

If you have Sky+ then you will have a Quad LNB. Currently Sky+ will be using 2 of the 4 outlets. Just connect a cable to a spare one and attach to your old Sky box - you will get FTA TV like BBC1/2/3/4/News24/CBeebies/CBBC, ITV1/2/3/4 and so on.

Also if you want you could order Multiroom from Sky and they should send you another viewing card which will let you get all the channels that you get on your other box. This will cost about £10 extra a month.
