I noticed that, but much prefer just to install only the basic ATi driver and add the ATi Tray Tools, which is a fraction of the size of the Catalyst software, yet achieves similar abilities. See:

^^ very good advice.

You simply dont need all the "Bloatware" of the Official catalyst drivers.

There again depends if you are an overclocker or simply a fiddler :)

You can overclock using ATi Tray Tools, or are you referring to RivaTuner?

IIRC this has some earlier connection with ATi Tray Tools.

I agree that the basic drivers are good enough. Some people like to push the limits though as in click here .Updating drivers can create disasters as well as maybe a little better performance although I never found it. Not even with overclocking to the edge.

You can configure ATi graphics card with Tray Tools just as readily as with the Catalyst versions - the difference is that it's achieved by a very much smaller package.

You'll note that RivaTuner is on your link; however I avoid this particular website now, as it caused me considerable headaches after downloading drivers from it.
