need community feedback for our Android app

Our crew has been working on an app to make diagnosing problems with Android devices easier (battery issues, rogue apps, connectivity), and it would be great to get some feedback from the community.

While it's not open-source, we did make this free version for you guys to tear apart and let us know what you think of it.

You'll need to register at login.crowdcare.com, download the CrowdCare Viewer app from Google Play, enter the provided PIN and then you're good to go. This isn't so much for us, but moreso to help out our less than tech-savvy friends and family.

Just to be clear, this isn't an advertisement - but we know that you know best and could offer up ideas on what we should change about the app.

Looking forward to your feedback,

The CrowdCare Crew

Hey Lazarus,

Was trying my best to not make our message sound spammy but I guess it came across that way.

Any chance we could get you to take 5 minutes to dig into our app? Community feedback is pretty key when it comes to figuring out what works.

Let me know if you need more info?

"this isn't an advertisement - "

Then what is it?

You are urging people to use your app.

That's either spam, or an advert, or maybe a poll, none of which are welcome.

No worries Lazarus - we picked Android as a jump off point but we'll be expanding to other OS soon. will pick your brain then.

Hey morddwyd, I realize my message came off salesy. Definitely not trying to advertise / sell anything in the forum as the app is free to use.

Just trying to do some market research with Android mobile users (this would be going straight to the source) so we can figure out how to best fine tune things... we're just a development team of 10 and our knowledge only goes so far.

Thanks for your reply though!

"Definitely not trying to advertise / sell anything in the forum as the app is free to use."

There are many thousands of free apps for Android, most of them are advertised to a greater or lesser degree

"Just trying to do some market research"

For nothing, using facilities paid for by legitimate advertisers on this site.

Go and peddle your wares elsewhere, or pay the going rate for market research.

Ah gotcha. New to the forum - didn't mean to offend!
