Kodak Easyshare z730

I have been offered one of the above cheap, because the charger got chewed by a Dog.
Any idea if a replacement charger is avaliable, and if its worth spending the money on one? The camera is mine for £30.

Well the camera costs around the £190 mark and you can buy a charger for £15.65 and battery for £20

The battery that is in the camera is a KLIC 5000 with a 1050MaH output. On the site above its compatible with the Z730. However, there is a 1700MaH KLIC 5001 as well thats compatible with the Z730. My query now is what charger to get? If I get KLIC 5001, will it charge my KLIC 5000 battery, and if I get a 5000 charger, will it charge the KLIC 5001 battery that I would like to get in a week or two? Im struggling to afford one, but having to buy 2 seperate chargers for the same camera would be out of my league.

Many thanks in advance as always for your time and trouble, and thanks Harry for the help so far.

Right. According to click here, I can use either the 5000 or 5001 battery in the camera.
HOWEVER, will I be able to use the 5001 charger for the 5000 battery? I really dont want to get the 5001 charger, and find that it wont be any good with the 5000 battery. ARGHH!!

I'm sure that the charger will work ok with either battery, but if you email eurobatteries, they will confirm

Thanks. I have ordered the charger, and now cant wait to see how the new camera performs compared to my antiquated Fujifilm Finepix 2400 Zoom. Only seems like 5 mins since it was brand new, and 2.1 Mega Pixels was cutting edge!

The camera is great. I know there are better quality cameras out there, and some with more than the 5mega pixels mine has, but I am astounded, and cant see how anything could take better pictures. Detail is magnificent, colors are spot on, and there is no delay between taking pics. With my Fuji, there was a 4 to 5 second delay between being able to take a picture.
I have only used mine on normal settings so far, and I cant see any need to use it with other settings.

Im impressed to say the least, and all for a total cost of £50 (cam only cost me £25).
