Kodak c340 locking up

  wilroda 08:19 13 Jul 2007

When taking picture in any mode with live view on - live view is not displayed on the back screen (lcd) and the camera wont take pictures. This doesnt happen all the time but on a regular basis

A power off/on does not solve the problem or removing and replacing the batteries.

When it works - it works fine. and always locks up at the most inconvenient moments!

I have done a firmware upgrade but still have problems

The camera is just out of warranty at 18 months old.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or can give me some advice on this
Many thanks

I would guess and say the firmware upgrade did not 'take' as it should.
Contact Kodak Technical Support Team- for their advice.

Thanks for that but the problem was there before i updated the firmware.

My advice still stands - -tell Kodak
They know more about their products than anyone else.

If ,as this appears to be a firmware fault Kodak will
A. Still offer a free replacement
B. Offer a swap out for a modest charge.

Thanks. I did contact kodak via their "live chat" tech help link on their web page. They said that the problem is the batteries ( should be lithium) Which we have tried to no avail I now have to contact tech support here in UK. Will keep you posted
