Integrated Freeview set

Having just bought my Mother an integral freeview set, we find that certain channels that were available with the digital freeview box are not showing on the new set.

Digital tuners seem to vary quite a bit. I have a Toshiba set that does not pick up all the channels, fortunately its shopping ones missing, though cheap Freeview box does. I have fitted a signal amplifier to improve strength of signal. Probably it will get better when we do go fully digital.

Yes, I've found the same. May well need a stronger signal either from an amp or better external aerial. We are told that digital levels will increase when the analogue xmitters are switched off.

Depending on the age of your mother's TV aerial (it could be a narrowband type), you may/will need to install a wideband television aerial to be able to pick up all the Freeview channels.
