My brother is facing exactly the same problem. I guess I will have to put Samsung in my personal black list for future TV purchases. I know for a fact Panasonic's Viera and LG's Smart TV interfaces aren't buggy.
Did you try calling after service? This is what I always do whenever I have any problem with my LG smart TV. I did have some minor questions to ask the customer support staff of LG Electronics and so far they have been quick and polite in dealing with my issues.
