HDMI or VGA

If I have an LCD TV (1920x1200 resolution)with PC and HDMI input and a PC with a decent 256mb graphics card with DVI output, will I get better or the same resolution by connecting the 15-pin to the PC input or using the HDMI input and getting a new graphics card that supports this (or using DVI to HDMI converter)?

Many thanks.

IMHO- Working with my Philips 190x6 and MSI graphics card- I have both installed
THE HDMI installed direct which is the main source and VGA installed via a KVA switch for use when it need to look at 'patient' Pc's with only VGA to offer
So I can as now via a software switch on the graphics card 'flick from one to the other'
Accepting the fact that as I now well into my fourth decade- I can see no appreciable difference between either.
So its choice for you - spend the money on what may be a pricey HDMI cable - and not see much- or just
stay as you are.
