Been ongoing for the last few weeks. Keep getting calls about "Why aren't we allowed (their words) to download music from WinMX?" Getting tired of explaining it...

who has been around the forum for a while probably realised that this was going to happen. I spoke to a couple of leading US copyright lawyers some months ago, and they predicted precisely what is now happening.

Good news. How will they pay the $50 million fine, though? What's surprising (probably not to most), is that it took so long for these kinds of sites to shut down in the first place. Wonder how long it will take for all (or most) to bite the dust. Nice to see that some of them will be back & trading legally. G
