I currently run

Windows xp pro
Athalon 3200+
Abit AVB motherboard with 4x/8x AGP connector
iiyama E431s with dvi input

Looking for something with 256mb, possibly TV in with a price upto about £150.

I use the PC for light game playing, general office/dtp, dvd watching but looking to branch out to transfering vhs to dvd.

Any recommendations?

I found these four click here in the £50-100 range (but no TV in, only TV out). That was by looking only at 256MB cards.

Going up to £150, I struck gold click here. TV out and 256MB for £138. Plus, it's a good chip and a good brand.

Clicked too soon; I was going to add that video in looks a bit of a holy grail, at least in this category. It is quite rare unfortunately, so you may have to spend more.

Thats quite expensive for one of those these days. I bought a 6600GT for £150 18 months ago!

You can get a 6600GT for £82 or a 6800GT for £105 from click here

E-Buyer also offer very competitve prices but their site seems to be down at the moment. It would certainly be worthwhile checking there too when the site is running again click here

You can get X800 GT All in Wonder for £117 which includes all the TV features too click here

Also has the X1600 pro on that page both 256MB and 512MB flavours from £88 to £100

I don't shop with Overclockers (very bad experiences) and tend to avoid eBuyer unless the value is small. I go to Dabs first when finding example products for other forum members, partly because of its excellent filtering search system and partly because it's my preferred store.
