I have bought Seagate Freeagent Desktop external drive. There is no user guide with it.
Could anyone who have used this device, please let me know about the best way to backup my entire PC so that the backup can be used for recovery if required.

Thanks MCE2005 for your help.
The Guides on the web are not for my mdodel(ST302504FDC1E1-RK.
I am told by Seagate that there is no softwrae available for my model at the moment so asked me to use Windows Backup software. So I will have a go at that. Hopefuly will work.

I have a Seagate 400GB external One Touch hard drive - the backup software supplied (which I updated to the latest version) is BounceBack.

You can download it from:

or an alternative such as:

The Seagate Disk Wizard mentioned by MCE2005 will allow you to first easily format and partition your external drive (or use Windows own Disk Management).
