Hi,
I have a dvd recorder and I would like to connect it to my VCR so that I can copy programmes taped on VCR to DVD Recorder. What type of VCR would I need and how would I connect them together. Make it simple as I am a novice.

There are some very cheap Play-only VCRs available for around £40. Just use a scart plug to connect and away you go. Alternatively, ask around, many people are getting rid of VCRs in favour of DVD recorders. They may be glad to give them away rather than dump them.

Connect scart from VCR to Scart input on the DVD recorder- following the DVD book set the recorder going then start the VCR.
It is possible that you may need a scart to plug [RCA]type connectos this depend on the inputs on the DVD.

Are these tapes of programmes that you have recorded off of the tv or are they films that you have bought? It may not be possible to copy some VCR films using the above method as lots of them are encrypted.
