Alarm Clock Radio Question

  al7478 16:40 07 Aug 2007

I want to get an alarm clock radio, for no other reason than to wake me up and to listen to one radio station.

I have, however, one very pernickity requirement. I want the radio to wake me at a volume I dictate manually, in advance, rather than simply the volume I last listened to it at.

I had a couple of systems in the past that did this, but they were all-in-one stereos, and now I just want a radio.

It does'nt matter whether it is DAB or FM/AM, as I get an accaptable reception from both, for my minimal needs.

Any suggestions?

Anyone else...?

For anyone whos interested, i had a look on the pure website, then rang them, and have concluded that the PURE TEMPUS-1 XT should suit my needs perfectly - ive no need to go for the Evoke 3, which is double the price.

All it lacks is a remote control, as it wont be beside my bed, as such. but you cant have it all.

Thanks for all contributions!

You could always get out of bed to turn it off!!!

Well, its a crazy idea but i guess that might work...

I've been using a Pure Tempus-1 (not XT) for about 18 months with no problems. It should do all you asked for in your first post.

Do you know what difference the XT makes?
