I am in the throws of running recording voice over tests for a slide show presentation, in preparation for the true speaker to make a recording on Saturday. I have made a recording in Audacity, and again in the native V/O facility in the slide show program.
My voice which is what might be called a low tenor is coming out like 'Pinky' or was it Perky' or a deep sea diver on Helium seemingly highly compressed.
The true narrator is a lady so what she will come out like I cannot begin to imagine, So far I have not figured out hoe to adjust. The Slideshow gives no adjustment at all- just press the tit and go. Audacity has plenty of tools but I have yet to figure which will lower the pitch. Any one done this sort of thing can help?
