Apart from security and Microsoft software which are your indispensable freebies? My first two would be Ccleaner and Format Factory, then Core temp and Speedfan. Followed by Open Office. The last two indispensable would be VLC and Media player classic. The rest I could live without but they are a bonus.

Ocster Backup Pro [version 7] was a freebie-for-a-day, recommended by a forumite about a year ago.

Almost forgot, Directory Opus V6. It's on all of my XP computers ... a great replacement for Windows Explorer, and was on a magazine cover disk I bought about 10 years ago.
