Wireless routers without built=in modems

Probably a daft question but for wireless routers without modems built-in and therefore no direct telephone connection will an RJ11/RJ45 adapter provide full access to the Internet? I am guessing that a separate modem will still be required.

You are right. You MUST have a modem either built in to a router or a separate one connected to the router via a WAN socket.
