Insight are offering WinXP Pro for £16.99 + VAT but it says "media only". Anyone know what that might mean? Does it mean that there is no product key - i.e. that it is the cd (i.e the "media" on which the software is) only?

Any answers/info would be welcome!

that the item offered is for volume licence holders only and is the unlicenced CD with the Windows code on it.

It won't install unless you enter a valid volume licence number.

OK thanks for that; I thought that there was something more to it than simply a mistake on the part of insight.

I did try to search the insight site for info re. "media only" but could find nothing relevant.

Also when I bought Publisher 2002, it came with 2 CD's, one of them being Media. Opened the CD to have a look, it contained all the clip-art for publisher.

I had the choice of loading to hard drive or leaving on CD. I decided to load to hard drive, but all the clip-art was already there from a full install of Office XP. J.

Djohn - thanks; another possibility which I had not thought of.
