Please help me decide which laptop to go for, both around the same price both will do the job I need the laptop for(Ithink)mainly"Photoshop CS2". To me the "Acer" as by far the better spec, therefore more future proof as well. But reading the messages on these forums "Toshiba" sound to have the better build and after service.

Go for Toshiba!
I bought a A120 Satellite Pro and wow what a great laptop it is, the best i have ever owned!!
Well built & fitted together.
I bought directly from Toshiba and saved £££££.

IMHO Toshiba, I have had dealings with Acer support on several occasions and frankly they are awful. I cannot say how good/bad Toshiba support is, but I have had TV's, DVD Recorders and none of them have ever broken down, they have either been sold on or given away to family, also I have had a Toshiba laptop for nearly two years now and bought one for my department at work just over a year ago we have never had to get in touch with them as they have worked without any problems

Hi Tonyq, both are good spec.Noticed on their website today that Aldi are doing one of their full spec laptops soon.A lot of people are very happy with them and they usually come with 3 years warranty.I notice the ones you quote above are with vista upgrades. Are these old stock as all new machines are sold with vista already on now it has been released? The uprgrades are not entirely free.I have just ordered it for my daughters Acer we bought just before xmas. You have to pay £14 p+p and email/fax proof of purchase to acer/microsoft to be able to obtain it.By the way can't fault the acer so far.

Toshiba.
Great service & support.
My last 3 laptops have all been Toshiba.
In fact at work we only buy Toshiba as they are built well & sturdy.

Hi all,
I don,t think this will be a surprise, but I think I will go for one of the Toshiba models,(when I can decide which one to go for). Once again thank you for all the input.
