In the process of replacing my landline, very reluctantly as I bought it for an absolute bargain price - but it has developed a fault. (I currently have an NTL D8000)
Now this land line phone is very 'mobile like' but in the short space of time I am amazed at how technology has changed on landlines, incl. features like downloading sim card info from mobiles, and text messaging etc.
Does anybody love their phone enough to recommend it? Any ideas please.
I ordered the BT Diverse 5110 for work (doesn't have sms) which always has excellent quality crystal clear calls. (Not bad as it has to cope with a computer hall environment, and large EMC units)click here £99 for 3
I recently bought the BT Quartet 1500 from Argos for £39.75. It's a bog standard cordless phone/answerphone, with no sms/text messaging - I use my mobile for that stuff. I'd certainly recommend it. It's also available with two or three handsets, if you want extra.
As Stuartli as suggested, why not look in the Argos catalogue, or even the Index one. Remember their purchases come with a 16 day refund, so if the item doesn't come up to expectations, then return it for a refund as per terms and conditions.
Viking usually have a good range, but can be a little expensive at times, unless you use their special offer advantages.
