Can anyone guide me to the best £130-£150 graphics card available at present! I have a decent spec machine P2.8 with GF5200

Radeon 9800Pro 128mb no better card at that price range. Should be able to get it for £130 or even less.

9800pro or 6800LE, preferably the 6800LE. Also the X700 and 6600GT are quite good too, especially at lower resolutions.

click here for all cards click here for some top range cards but not all are within your budget.

Hope this helps.

I have a L7VMM2 motherboard and a 2400+ processor, and 1Gb RAM. I would like to get a decent GFX card. Would the 9800 pro or the 6800 LE work on this motherboard, as it has a 133FSB. I hope that makes sense and I would appreciate any advice given.

Providing you have an active AGP slot free and a spare molex power connector then it will run fine not at it best but still well enough.

As for which graphics card @ £150 6800LE/6600 GT are the only choices here returning scores of 7,500+ 3DMark03 compared to 5,500 - 6,000 for the Radeon 9800Pro
Also shader 3.0 support it dances on the 9800Pro from a far.

Just found some info. The 6600 GT seems to have the edge over the 9800 pro

Hope that helps. Also that site is great for comparing GF cards and other hardware. Dont just take the benchmark scores, as they are not really what a game is about. Its best to look at the FPS in the game ratings.

The FX5900 is a great card (£180 when I got it, but probably much lower now). It works with all current games prefectly, with high frame rates and the comp crashes much less since I replaced the ATI (9600 I think). It may be starting to be grouped with the 'oldies' now, but I think its still a great card (it was 7th in the PCA top 10 for a while).

The 6600GT is an excellent budget card from what I have heard. As good as the 6800, but half the price.
