which broadband-zen?pipex/?co-op?

I've used Pipex bb for 4 or 5 years and I'm very happy with it. An elderly neighbour is taking the plunge from dial-up and can't decide betwen Zen, Pipex & Co-op.
Cost is an important factor (annual, rather than just first year or set-up) and the best in that respect seems to be "Pipex mini" but I 'd like to be sure that the 2Gb cap is adequate for her needs.
She emails, surfs the web and watches re-showings of TV programmes.
What do you think?

For a good start goto here:

And enter your location and tell us what services are available to her.

The reshowing of TV concerns me a bit considering she has only a 2 gig limit, if it was a bit larger then it would be ok but 2 gig isn't a huge amount, its fine for surfing but if you download the odd program etc it can soon eat that away.

click here - I'm with Zen and can't fault them though I'm thinking of switching to ADSL24 as its cheaper, has a better rating and has a larger download cap. Both Zen and ADSL24, like some others, are only a monthly contract.

You do not mention what sort of speeds you are enjoying but as a close neighbour she should be able to get similar. Best to do a line check before she signs up in case her line speed capability is less than expected. TC.

I have been with Zen for 'years' only had one outage and no stalled downloads and excellent cust. service. Others may be slightly cheaper but, as I hear from my colleagues at work, have more problems. Just offering my experience, not advertising for Zen.

Ask your neighbours.

I would have said, mostly likely, Pipex but since its Tiscali takeover and my offspring's unhappy experiences in recent weeks....:-(

Oh for an edit button...:-(
