Which broadband service? no adsl or cable

hey there
I was wondering which broadband service provider can i use if any if cable nor adsl is not availiable. Im 7km from my nearest BT exchange which i find unusual especailly as I live in London. Any ideas anyone?
Is satellite broadband my only choice?

I can't believe you can't get BB. Have you tried here: click here

on the left hand side there is a box which says "Can you get Broadband" "Enter your telephone number or Postcode" and then Check.

Give it a try.

pj123 - I know i couldn't believe it either. I have checked the site you gave me, and it says I am very unlikely to recieve broadband.

Although I don't have a BT telephone system (I am on NTL Cable) entering my Postcode tells me I can get Broadband in this area.

It could be worth doing another check as BT has gradually extended the distance/area over which broadband can now be received through various technical measures, even if it may only be at 256 or 512kbps.

It has been extended from the original 5.5km to quite a bit further.

The reach limit for BT's 512kbps service was supposed to have been removed a year ago according to the link.
