Blank CD R s come in gold and silver and a very wide range of prices. Given that 'you get what you pay for', what is the difference between a cheap and an expensive CD R ? Sound quality ? Durability ? Longevity ? Or what ?

Cheers

Christmascracker - that site gives a really comprehensive answer. Stuartli - tried a search but didn't get an obvious answer - the importance of specifying the search term correctly. Thanks to both.

I've been posting references to the cdmediaworld and click here websites for some considerable time; the wealth of detail is quite staggering on both sites.

You are absolutely right, the information provided is quite staggering - the same goes for the sites you recommend at the end of the thread .
Absolutely terrific. 'Far out' as I would once have proclaimed.

Thanks again
