I managed to lose the CD that came with my 7 month old scanner. Having re-formatted my hard drive, I discovered the loss. No problem; I 'phoned Visioneer for a replacement, which they supplied very promptly for £7.50. However, the disk will not work, despite my (and Visioneers) best efforts. Emails have gone back and forth to the point of frustration (probably for both sides). The simplest solution would be to send me another disk, but they seem to be doing everything to avoid doing this. (The disk I've got from them now won't go beyond the startup menu,and I get a 'not a valid Win32 application' message when I try their workaround. Has anyone else had similar problems?
Hi Cara I,ve been to the Visioneer website, and also followed their supplied 'workaround', based on a 'fix' they sent me via email - but it didn't work. Can't fault them for trying, except a new disk may solve the problem with less effort all round. But, that's life. Thanks for your suggestion, anyway.
