Dell's laptops now only come with Express Card Slots (no Carbus/PCMCIA).Most Dell machines are spec as Dual Core for default. What are your views on Dell's switch to these specifications as standard? There isn't much available for Express Card slots yet and would most users benefit from a slightly faster single core processor, given that alot of software isn't written for Dual?Or are Dell's choices a good prediction for the way things are going?
Dell are not daft and I'm sure that there is a good reason. Most Dell machines are sold as 'office' machines so the choice of processor is irrelevant.G
Atm if you wanted to go to pre-n or mimo with the laptops, I don't think you can as the card manufacturers are making them all as cardbus.
