VGA to USB Connector

I have a laptop projector and a laptop which does not have a VGA socket. I am looking at how I can connect the projector to my laptop. Would a VGA to USB connector work and, what is the difference between SVGA and VGA, as I have found an SVGA to USB connector on Ebay but not sure if it is the same thing as the VGA to USB?
Thanks.

I didn't know such a thing existed to be honest with you. Had a look on Ebay and saw them but have no knowledge of how well they work.

SVGA provides higher resolutions that VGA. VGA I think goes upto something like 640 x 480. SVGA goes much higher.

Thanks, just got one from Maplins so I have the option to return it.
