USB portable drive

I'm looking for a reasonably priced & reliable portable USB HDD (max c.£60), to use with my laptop, maybe in the region 320gb-500gb.

Have looked at the stylish WD drives, but have read some bad reports on reliability, i.e defective after a couple of months - which is no good to me bcos it's to use for work stuff.

The LG ones look good also, with no bad reports that I have seen so far.

Can anyone recommend a good one? Thnx.

WD drives are a lot more numerous than LG ones, so even if they both have the same level of reliability you'll see a lot more WD reports than LG ones!

I have two USB WD devices, one 160GB, and one 250GB.

there are lots in the price range you mention even at PC World. I would be happy to buy Iomega, WD, Seagate.

to you both for the advice.
Eventually went for the 500gb WD from PCW (good online price) which has synchronise facility which I've already found to be very useful. I'll close this off now.
