Hi all

Can anyone recommend an USB digital TV tuner for my desktop pc? The one i got at the moment cant even find ITV, and the loading is terrible and switching between channels there is a huge delay. I am usuing windows vista and would like this new device to allow me to record the tv program as well?

No -- sounds like you are in a poor reception area. You would need a decent outside antenna to plug into. When the freeview comes up to full strength in most areas in 2012 it should be easier to get a USB tuner that works in low signal areas.

how can i check if I am in a poor reception area? I am based in docklands london, and would have thought that I be okay?

The only way I can get my USB digital tuner to work is by connecting to the main aerial socket of the house. The reception area doesn't have to be particularly poor - it's just that the aerials that come with the tuners are not up to it and even connecting another indoor aerial often doesn't work.
