An Enclosure should set you back about £15. However, better to buy an USB3 one to give it a longer life, which can cost up to 3x a USB2 Enclosure.

All you need to know is the type of connection the Drive has.

the spec says ists a ata/100 and most conectors seem to be sata, which I;m guessing is different and non compatible

You'll just have to look until you find the right one.

However, £50 will buy you a 1TB USB3 WD Passport so maybe it's time to retire it.

Powered enclosure for IDE or SATA USB 3

USB 2 enclosure for IDE and SATA

Just some examples. I've gone for dual connections as these caddies can be very handy later on. Cheaper to buy an OEM drive new than opting for an external drive in a case.

Why not simply go for a new external drive. External hhds 80GB gets you nowhere today
