university laptop

Im weighing up two laptops at the moment for my daughter to use at university mostly for written work,presentations etc they are the following

There both around the £600 to £650 price range which she needs to keep to as she needs other stuff i.e. an external hard drive,office software etc etc etc (you can imagine) which is the best bet ive been told that the new windows operating system due out soon will not run on a celeron m and i should go with the amd 64 any thoughts?

for your daughter's need, both will do fine job

as for "new windows", you do not need to worry about it. Yes, MS will release 64 bit windows in a few months time.

The 32 bit windows (the first laptop support) will be stay with us for long time. Currently, most PC users have no need for 64 bit windows and very few softwares are have 64 bit versions
