TweakV1 software

I recently purchased a program called TweakV1, after using a trial version recommended by several pc mags.
The purpose is to clean the register etc and the reason for buying was that it works with Vista.
However, in order to load the extended purchased version,(which gave more useful features), I had to remove the free trial version, using the supplied removal program.
As well as removing TweakV1, the program deleted virtually all other files on the hard drive.
Totalideas Software, who wrote this program have not answered any of my emails alerting them to this problem. The same thing happened when I downloaded a recent upgrade. An instruction to firstly remove the older version again stripped all files from my hard drive (which this time I had backed up using Acronis). I have never encountered this before, and would have thought that a reputable company would have shown some concern.

Do you mean it wiped your hard drive clean and you had to reinstall Vista etc?

No because I had installed this software on a second hard drive (fortunately).
