For those with AGP looking to upgrade

  Totally-braindead 11:00 15 Feb 2006

I just got the Novatech newsletter and they are now doing this click here a GeForce 6800GS with 256mb RAM for £175.05. I thought it worth mentioning as a lot of people have AGP rather than PCI Express and are struggling to get a decent card. There are the 6600GTs as well for around the £100 mark if your budget doesn't stretch that far.

Thanks for that T.B, I have been wondering what to do about upgrading my ancient (3 year old ) pc,you may just have given me the answer.

Lookout starfox - if your PC is 3 yr old then a 7800GS may be bottlenecked by your 3yr old processor.
Just a heads up for you:-)

Edit - Oh its a 6800GS!

I bought an Inno 3D Geforce 6900GS late last year. It is an excellent card, running quite happily overclocked, with rock-solid stability. GPU up from 425MHz to 500MHz, ram up from 1GHz to 1.15GHz.

Sorry, lost count, 6800GS, not 6900!

Now down to £135

Third one down.....

I still haven't decided whether to go for that or wait a while and hope the 7800GS drops in price.......
