TFT Monitor...DVI ?

  mikegm7 06:48 02 Apr 2005

I am looking at buying my first TFT 17" Is it generally recommended to opt for DVI. How much clearer is the screen image? Also if I do, I am only looking at a cheaper end 128mb DVI card. Can anybody recommend such a card?
Thanks in advance

I also would be interested to know fi DVI input reall does make a difference.

Has anyone actually compared DVI and analogue on a TFT monitor.

I have a 19"TFT and have used the DVI and analogue plugs....I cannot see any difference whatsoever.

We have two 17" TFT IIyama Prolites E435's, one is connected via DVI the other is Analogue. Cannot see any difference between the two !

From a technical aspect, in theory, a DVI connection should give a faster response time and superior colour rendering.

As regards Graphic Cards, I have got a 128MB DDR FX-550 + TV OUT & DVI. This runs Half Life-2 and Battle for Middle Earth without any problems.
