Survey using a PDA

I am looking for a PDA to carry out a buildings survey and intend to use it for eight hours a day and then download the data to a PC. I am concerned about the life of the battery when used continuously.
Can anyone suggest a model that might suit me.

I also carry out building surveys and have been looking at pdas. the only one that seems to offer any decent life is the ipaq but just how long it will last depends on what type of prog you are running. Course you can always carry a spare battery. e-mail me and I can let you know more

I think a spare battery is the only option here.

I have looked in a back copy of PDA Essentials mag and in the buyers guide in the back, the ipaq H2210 and H4150 both show a battery life of 12 hours. Take this with a pinch of salt though coz as hugeb states above it does depend on the applications running, backlight on or off, condition of battery.
