Any one have any views on the above?

Looking to spend around £1350ish on a new laptop.....was looking at the 16"tft versions of the sony.

I brought the Vaio GRV616G 3weeks ago and added an extra 256mb ram from crucial (£30) to make it 512mb other than that the screen picture is great and its fast enough to play Freelancer without ghosting or any noticable slowdown compared to my desktop. I was also delighted to find they had partitioned the hard disk into 2 disks and included a full version of xp home on cd.

So tell me - do you really believe you are going to get a $1400 Sony Vaio for $40?

i can't believe this thread is still alive. Does anyone relly believe in pyramid schemes?

For anyone who's interested....i bought the sony with 1" screen last year. It's still going strong and i love it.

Rowey - that's why we have the little green ticks! :-)

And surely you got better than a 1" screen for your money. I'm glad you liked it - I have been playing with a sony for a few days (actually sorting out spyware etc) and am impressed by the screen quality. Mind you, for almost £1800 I would have hoped it would be good!
