Sneaky Toolbar Hijacks Browsers

It's the most evil thing on the Internet, according to some of its victims. But it's not a virus, a scam or a raunchy porn site.

Xupiter is also being bundled along with at least one peer-to-peer file-sharing program. And the toolbar will install itself automatically when Internet Explorer's security settings aren't set to the highest level.

... at least bring into focus the importance of computer security once again to those running without it.

It beggars belief that so many still take chances on their security when there are good, freely available programs that do a fine job.

A good firewall, an AV program and a anti-spyware utility is all that's needed for peace of mind, provided that these are updated on a regular basis of course.

I hope the above posts result in some urgent remedial action by 'the unsecured' before it's too late, so they can then join the ranks of our many converted members. :) TC.
