Sky packages

Not quite computers, but near.

We have been offered a special one off £75.00 deal from Sky, and part of the deal after 4 months of Sky 4 mix service we can cancel the agreement, and still have continuation of 'over 200 free digital tv channels'. The basic Skybox, dish and installation remain our property.

Looking at the agreement, it mentions that "You must enter into an Interactive Discount Contract (IDC)". There appears to be no further information about IDC or any extra fees. What is IDC and are there over 200 free digital tv channels available at present?.

Your help would be appreciated.

Sky Interactive Discount Contract in which you agree to keep the digibox connected to a phone line for at least twelve months. This is for Sky's interactive TV, which you don't have to use. (Interactive TV enables you to bid, buy or vote for something you see on TV).

Thanks for the information and link, very interesting reading. The £75.00 latest deal mentioned in the link web-page, is not like the deal we have been offered by Sky. Our offer seems much better and is solely through Sky with a special contact telephone number, so hopefully there will be no call centre problems regarding the offer, as mentioned in the link web-page.

Thanks again MCE2K5 for your quick response, much appreciated. Will now tick as resolved.
