selphy (canon) printers,any good.

got a big hp printer,but want something like the selphy for instant gratification,instead of having to crank up the pc every time,.

are they any good,,is the picture life 100 years,

95 will do ,is there a better option....Rick

I think the prints are waterproof and not subject to fading due to UV.

It is possible that it was the thermal roll that is supplied from new, as this one only lasts for 4 to 5 prints, you then need to put in the 36 print roll.

As an alternative to the Canon Selphy have a look at the Olympus P11, it is also a dye sub printer, and can currently be purchased for 50 to £60.
