SD/MMC cards...where to buy cheaply?

  njhux 17:37 05 Jan 2004

I've recently got a Motorola smartphone which takes mmc/sd cards. Very kindly it came with a card with a capacity of a whole 16mb!

I am looking to buy a new mmc/sd card hopefully 256mb or above. can anyone recomend a reputable company where I can pick one up at a good price?

Picked up a good buy of Ebay a few months ago.

Came from USA with no probs at all.

Got it within 3 days well packaged and in full working order.

Paid about £28.00 for 128mb but this was when it was still a fairly new format for my camera.

GANDALF <|:-)> Good link, just ordered 128mb smartmedia card from ebuyer at £22.32 inc delivery....slightly cheaper than 7 day shop, so thought I would give them a go.

Your link is for MMC cards which, although compatible, are slower than the superior encrypted SD cards

eBuyer does a Toshiba 64MB Secure Digital card at just over £16 including VAT. I would have thought that was more than ample for a mobile phone - my Minolta Dimage E203 2MP digital camera will take just under 140 maximum resolution pix with a card of that capacity...:-)

I brought a 128MB MMC card from ebuyer apart from customer service and the annoyance of my order canx because I specified a different adress to the billing on my first order, i was delayed a week but for £26 all in not bad. Dont try and call them unless you like a long hold!
