Replacing my Electric Boiler

The house is 'all electric' and the boiler, which does my bath and the washing-up is probably 40 years, or so, old. I've been here for 25+ years and it was not new when I arrived.

It's now developed the slightest of leaks on one of the seams, so it's time to replace it.

The Question: Who do I ask for a quote? An Electrician or a Plumber.

p.s. Gas is not an option.

Plumber. He or she will have to do the majority of the work and may be able to do the electrical work too but will probably have to bring in an electrician to test and certify the work.

I agree, you need a plumber.

My son is a professional electrician and would not replace a hot water tank.

Thanks anchor, that was the sort of definitive reply I was hoping for.
