Thought this might be of interest to some of you click here,review-32731.html . Could prove to be good for SSD life in the long term , good value for money too as memory is so cheap at the moment .

HHHmmm , dosnt seem to want to play today ! Basically it seems that more RAM (16GB) can significantly reduce the number of writes to a SSD , by an average of 45% over 4GB of RAM

Ram was cheap last November, when I built my PC, so I went with 16GB. I have two Crucial M4s in RAID 0. To reduce writes I have hibernate disabled and scheduled de-fragmentation turned off. As I have a lot of ram I also run with no pagefile.

Why bother with raid 0 ? If it is just outright speed you are looking for, surely the best solution would be PCI-e bootable SSD ?

Fair point but, horrendously expensive.
